Do you know that Goethe's birthplace is in Frankfurt's old town? The Goethe House e is a mandatory stop if you visit the city. This 4 floors building was destroyed during World War II but restored between 1947 and 1951.
Today the house hosts a rich museum in which visitors can admire the original furniture and a lot of documents that show the story of the poet and his family. The most beautiful side of the house is the hall of music that is a large room where a lot of parties happened and where Goethe started to learn the piano.
On the third floor, you find Goethe’s bedroom that is the place in which he wrote his first masterpieces. Remember that the museum is open every day.
